Our Glencoe photography workshops are a real treat for any landscape photographer. Famous for its magnificent scenery, Glencoe in the Scottish highlands has some of Scotlands finest views. As you approach the Glen from the south, you drive past the ridge of Munros named Buachaille Etive Mor (the Buachaille), which is headed by the triangular shaped Stob Dearg. This Iconic mountain is visible from several of the locations we will visit, and it makes for some classic landscape compositions.
Your workshop leader Tony Higginson has photographed Glencoe on many occasions will be your guide to the area, taking you to all the places you would not want to miss such as Loch Achtriochtan and the range known as the three sisters of Glencoe. You will also be photographing the picturesque Glen Etive, and spending time on Rannoch moor, which is a great place to unwind and soak in the wonderful atmosphere of this remote wilderness.
Nothing beats getting out in the field with your camera, especially when you are in a place as amazing as Glencoe. However, we do make sure that at some point during the workshop we have time for image review. Tony will offer constructive critique on the images you have taken, as well as covering the importance of digital post processing. Familiar with both Lightroom and Photoshop, he will advise on how to get the best out of your raw files so that you can produce prints worthy of this stunning place.
During your time with us, you will have plenty of opportunity to examine and develop your own personal style. Whether you want to hone your existing skills or experiment with techniques such as long exposure or intentional camera movement, this Glencoe photography workshop is the perfect way to get away from the busyness of modern life and allow yourself time to relax in one of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes.
